What’s New with PDX Next (Week of January 9)

Something to Smile about in January

In December 2022, we hit a milestone in the five-year-long PDX Next project: the halfway point! So much at the airport has changed. We now have a Concourse B instead of a Concourse A. Concourse E doubled in length. We upgraded the Rental Car Center. Many new shops and restaurants are open. But the construction work to expand the main terminal also means some of PDX’s most convenient features have temporarily gone away – including the much-missed Concourse Connector. We sat down with Irene Ng, senior manager of site and facility design at PDX, to ask when they might return.

Construction Impacts to Expect: January 9 – 16

To help you plan for what’s ahead, we’re updating this section weekly. If you’d like to receive these updates right in your inbox, subscribe to the PDX People newsletter.

For your safety, do not enter construction areas. To avoid serious injury, never cross a construction rope, barricade or fence to enter a construction site. We don’t want you to get hurt!
