Dinner, a movie and…a flight? On Feb. 23, Portland International Airport became the first airport in the country where travelers can find a mini-movie theater – a novel project launched in partnership with Portland’s iconic Hollywood Theatre.
The one-of-a-kind microcinema will serve our 18 million annual visitors, who can drop in free of charge to watch films while waiting for their flights. All films screened will be 10 minutes or shorter in length, appropriate for a general audience, and created by a local or regional artist or concerning issues relating to Oregon and the Pacific Northwest.
If you know a filmmaker interested in showing their work, send them to HollywoodTheatrePDX.
